Most people don’t have wheelchairs either, yet crosswalks have those little dips in the curb for wheelchairs. And consequently it’s far more pleasant now for cyclists and any other person traveling on sidewalks with wheels

First of all, no idea what you’re talking about. We have those curbs on train platforms, but those are for blind people so they don’t fall onto the tracks.

Second, I don’t get what you’re trying to say tbh. The womens bathroom is better with trans people in it or what is the argument here?

I don’t see how allowing biological men in the womens bathroom is making anyone’s life better, especially considering the downsides which is that many women find it extremely troubling to see men in an area that is usually reserved for them.

Yeah when did this have anything to do with trans people? It was whether or not someone could identify what the signs were implying

As you’re using the terms being thrown around lately, I’ll assume you just spit out what you hear without actual knowledge. There is no such thing as biological man or woman. There are sexes but even that isn’t binary, it’s a spectrum with many outliers that have sex disorders. Additionally, chromosomes does not equal phenotype. There are men out there with XX and women with a Y chromosome. Additionally, sex characteristics and phenotype are not just based on chromosomes; it is complex and varied. Trans people have the same variations as cis people, but their brains exhibit similar traits as their cis counterparts, while being in a body that exhibits similar sex characteristics as those on the opposing end of the spectrum. This is where the misalignment and dysphoria comes from. I’m obviously making something far more complex simplified.

I’m a woman and I’ll even agree with you women should be able to make private spaces that let in only who the women inside choose - that’s not how public restrooms work however. I have no particular expectations when using a restroom beyond having a private stall to use for my self and others and that others mind their own business unless it’s to say something nice or helpful to someone else, I don’t actually care what their genitals, DNA, way of dress or body look like in anyway just that they follow bathroom decorum. If all bathrooms were just private ceiling to floor with doors that don’t have cracks around them and anyone was allowed to use them I think that would be ideal and help everyone because bathroom usage could be spread among a larger number of stalls, likely shorten the route to a bathroom if you don’t have to go searching for your gender and I say this as a person who use to use portable oxygen finding a toilet only for men when I was at my most sick knowing I had to dedicate more of my very limited energy to tracking down a woman’s bathroom sucked.

You’re literally being ableist towards people like me, I have cystic fibrosis and was born disabled, because you think you can speak for women as a whole, don’t put words in women’s mouths. If you are a woman and you feel that way then speak for yourself don’t involve the rest of us, thanks.
