You would have to be an incredible fool to take their word for it and not look at their actions. The question is irrelevant, we should get as close as possible, and certainly enslaving people is no way to get there. you would have to be insane to not have utopia as the ultimate goal of political power, even if it is unachievable it should obviously be the goal.

Until then any attempt to create “a stateless, classless, currencyless society in which the workers own the means of production society” will likely fail and devolve into something terrible, whether they have good intentions or not, and whether they call themselves communist or not.

So how do we know if a communist leader is going to be column A or B before they take power?
