The question is irrelevant, we should get as close as possible, and certainly enslaving people is no way to get there. you would have to be insane to not have utopia as the ultimate goal of political power, even if it is unachievable it should obviously be the goal.
Not in the current state the human race finds itself. Maybe someday, but we are nowhere near there yet. Until then any attempt to create “a stateless, classless, currencyless society in which the workers own the means of production society” will likely fail and devolve into something terrible, whether they have good intentions or not, and whether they call themselves communist or not.
This is a problem for all politicians not exclusively communist ones. At least the communist ones are saying the right things, even if they’re lying, the important thing is that they’re held accountable for their lies.

So how do we know if a communist leader is going to be column A or B before they take power?
