I didn’t say anything about you rebutting your decisions. I’m talking about you’re response to someone’s own decisions.

this has to be the height of intellectual laziness and bad faith. you’re not actually engaging with the person who typed the comment at all.
“use” is a synonym of “exploit”
so, yes
putting a phrase on a vegan bingo card is insufficient to rebutt the argument.
the plant-based food industry may have grown, but so has the meat industry. it increases year over year, and whatever excuse you may have, being vegan hasn’t stopped that.
if being vegan made a difference this might be true.
no. veganism eschews exploitation of animals for food
yes, I have considered that. and every source I can find puts dairy cows at about 3 years of production, calving for the first time at about 2 years old.
it’s possible your operation was not average, and most dairy cows only live 5 years.
anecdotes are not data.
cows don’t naturally live to 20 years. they can live that long if they are well fed and watered and protected from disease, predators, and the environment. that’s an artificial life span.
hardly any dairy calves end up as veal.

a dairy cows life span is like 5 years
most dairy calves are brought to full weight before slaughter.
most dairy calves are brought to full weight before slaughter, and the life span of a dairy cow is about 5 years.
the whole right column and Toby Keith are in the running

being vegan won’t change how much water is used by agriculture
