Ah ok. In your first post you said “it has to be AI”, which made me think you were saying the video was fake.
Are you certain that there is a claim that the company responsible for the tripping robot put this out as a piece of publicity?
Because if not, if it was a leak, or taken by someone not affiliated, then it would make sense it’s on the internet.Or, are you arguing that because there exists a robot which can run reliably at 10 m s-1, that this one shouldn’t exist?
Because my car goes 0-60 slower than a McMurtry Speirling, and yet it exists.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•People who live in hot and humid regions, what do you generally do or have seen done to reduce the effects of the heat?
5·7 days agoIf your home isn’t well adapted to reject heat, you can use tinfoil to reflect the sun. It’s cheap and incredibly efficient at keeping heat out. It doesn’t look very nice but it works a treat. Just remember if you are covering windows (with anything) that the cover has to be on the outside otherwise some heat will still make it in.

1·23 days agoIt’s a damn shame the hive mind has decided “nuclear bad” , without really attempting to understand the issue. A purely pragmatic approach demands the commissioning of nuclear power plants, and this vibes-based opposition to nuclear power only has the effect of strengthening fossil fuel’s grip on the energy economy and hastening the climate apocalypse.

3·23 days agoThis paper appears to be saying that in the future, if the entire European continent connects it would be technically possible to not have to add new baseload
Their findings indicate that a secure, net-zero European electricity system is technically robust and economically viable when based on VRE paired with extensive flexibility, storage, and grid interconnections, without requiring new baseload capacity.

I haven’t gone that far yet, I always imagined a cordoned-off area of safety. I’m just now realising how stupid I was. I hope you all make it. 🫶
