Europe@feddit.org•Parmesan: The cheese used as bank collateralEnglish
1·22 days agoYup. Ergo, the original statement is not true in the general case. Outside of the EU, parmesan can be unspecific, but is still not specifically a word for the fake stuff.

The English name parmesan is borrowed from French parmesan, earlier parmisan, in turn borrowed from Italian parmigiano. In French, it is first attested as a name for the cheese in 1414, and in English, in 1519.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why have we as a society just accepted the increasingly blinding bright lights of cars?

Are you ok?
oh no that one actually hits the nail on the head. That’s exactly how these read.
I agree with the sentiment, I just found it to be a funny context to bring it up in ;)
your talk about art sparking the imagination tells me you don’t see two legs and a jar in the tv shadow.
…or maybe you do, who am i to judge.

i do have to point out, the plane trip itself was far worse, climate wise, than the vibe writing.
That said, yes I agree, it is of course an extra load, that could be easily avoided.
