    Yeah, Rhea Seehorn is great. Carol is definitely intentionally abrasive (hence all of the other characters’ reactions) and the show repeatedly under cuts her methods to make her seem slightly ridiculous, but her extreme stubbornness is what makes her such a good lens for the story.

    Personally, I think it’s very relatable to be an asshole in a smiling zombie apocalypse.

      Agree, I thought Carol was absolutely understandable given her circumstances.

      She’s got good reason to be angry, and from her perspective it’s as if she’s stuck in a lunatic asylum while being the only sane person.

      I didn’t even find her stubbornness particularly novel or outrageous. I would say the majority of supervisors in my subordinate day over the past 20 years are just as if not more stubborn. They may not have been as aggressive or hostile about it but I don’t think it is because the impulse wasn’t there. They just lacked the vocabulary to weaponize their words. Plenty of them screamed or threw tantrums though.
