Looks like Israel is becoming a more typical MENA country (with death penalty), and that the EU accepts this. They won’t be part of Europe.
EU countries aren’t usually in the business of actively shielding MENA countries from (formal) scrutinity in international institutions.
Really? France did support the Saudi led intervention in Yemen for example. The sanctions against Sudan are a joke. You still ususally get somebody to do something decent, which is nice, but it is pretty common that one of the big countries is bought. Not to mention the unwaivering US support for Israel, which usually ends with them kicking down on anybody who speaks out against Israel.

Germany doesn’t need the US to be a yes-man for Israel.
No, but it certainly helps. After all most Germans consider Israels action in Gaza to be genocide. Also there are cases, where Germany has not done what Israel wants. For example the rather large aid payments to UNRWA.
Death penalty has existed in israel before but only for crimes against humanity and treason.
Germany feels obligated towards Israel because of the Holocaust. What is the argument by other EU countries? Or is it actually just Germany?
i would guess military support for Ukraine and weapon sales to support their genocide
