People are not allowed to disagree or not like? What’s the downvote button even for then?

I also read a post about downvoted content being “buried”, so I guess most people have their feed by Hot and that’s why? And what would be wrong with that anyway?

ps: What was that site you could see your upvotes/downvotes? I’m curious about my ratio and how grumpy I have become.

edit: I should have been more clear, I’m talking more about mods being touchy. If a random user gets mad that he was downvoted, there’s not much they can do, but there are mods banning people for downvotes lol

    There are only upsides to going into your settings and hiding downvotes entirely. It’s pure masochism to have people’s boos broadcast to you in real time.

      Masochism? Oh no my friend. I love it when people leave me the little “I’m wrong and I also want you to know that I’m upset about it” indicator. It not only reinforces the idea that I am correct, which is a given, but also the idea that this has upset them.
