He told Gizmodo he was surprised when he first got into Bitcoin in 2020 to find what he described as “a rich, vibrant community of Christian Bitcoiners,” and said the success of his self-published book, which he says has sold more than 10,000 copies over the past three years, only reinforced his sense that the overlap was real.

This should come as no surprise. People who are willing and able to have faith in things without any quantifiable evidence are going to be easy to draw into scams.

Bitcoin isn’t a scam; it has value because of supply and demand and the fact there will only be 21 million ever mined, however anyone is allowed to use it.

I remember calling NFTs a scam and my friend hated me saying that.

When I use the phrase NFTs I was referring to the culture, usage and trading and all of that jazz. He was specifically talking about the technical implementation. So there was that …

However, he said, “just because 99.9% of NFTs are scams, that doesn’t mean you can call it a scam.”

I then said, “if 99% of anything is a description of it, I think we can safely use that descriptor”

Pretty sure Jesus would beat the shit out of all who’s involved in this with a very pliable switch (hint: not the console).

the currency’s fixed, verifiable rules confront users with what he sees as objective truth in a world of “fake money, fake food, fake news, fake everything.” In his view, Bitcoin is not merely adjacent to Christian culture but fundamentally based on its values.

Conservatives just can’t comprehend a world in colour. Or even greyscale.

They can’t comprehend that the fake money was created by them, is run by them, and says “in God we trust” on it. They had the world’s reserve currency already! And now they’re blowing it.
