Yeah I was just about to edit my comment to mention that. Like bro why are you here it’s built on the same ethos you hate in linux.

Man that subreddit is a trip. Really funny to actively hate FOSS on ideological grounds because you just love corporations and markets so much.

Because ~90% of people don’t actually think about morality deeper than ‘gross, icky.’ If that seems high I’m also including in that people who start with the reaction and work backwards looking for justifications.

Honestly I think this is great. Some tacky bloodsport arena is a refreshingly honest reflection of the true national character of this country.

Much more fitting than the weird civil religion stuff going on in the rest of the national mall. This country does not deserve dignity until it stops being a global force for evil.

The only people here conflating economic value with human worth are the people who are outraged. An easily automated employee isn’t of high value to a company, like no shit.
