I mean, really, most of Weebl’s stuff should be preserved: Amazing Horse, Magical Trevor, Crabs, Telephone Dog (“Hello, this is dog!”), Russian Dancing Men, a ton of others I’ve forgot.

Japan runs out of robot wolves in fight against bears
The handmade, $4,000 Monster Wolf features solar panels, sensors, and intimidating audio.
Does this man represent all of Japan?

Fallon is much worse. Completely talentless, doesn’t know how to interview, doesn’t know when it’s best to let the interviewee speak, apolitical in a world where that’s no longer appropriate, comes up with the lamest comedy bits.

This is just a reverse heat map:

Jiaji also notes that some applications remain unexplored, like space exploration, wherein Y-zipper’s tentacles could be built into a spacecraft to grab nearby rock samples.
WTF am I even reading?

The fact that this is not the conclusion that BBC took and instead just pushed the shitty “AI BAD! FIRE BAD!” narrative is telling.

It’s a pretty dumb way of saying “compared to”.

Tolkien’s estate still gets huge stacks of cash from a book series he wrote over 75 years ago. It’s sickening.

Noah Webster started it in the 1830s, and then Mark Twain extended it in the 1900s. A quote from him:
“Necessarily I am interested particularly and especially in the part of the bill which concerns my trade. I like that bill, and I like that extension from the present limit of copyright life of forty-two years to the author’s life and fifty years after. I think that will satisfy any reasonable author, because it will take care of his children. Let the grandchildren take care of themselves.”
But, I agree we need to go back to the original maximum of 28 years. Fuck Twain’s argument that it should last so long it benefits his kids. They can get a goddamn job from the nepotistic connection alone.

And who’s you guys?

Yes, please, read the apocalyptic fever dream of a crazy man as proof that god exists. I’m totally convinced!

The city has spent way too much money preparing for this thing.
FIFA and the Olympics scam every city to spend way too much money for their events.

It’s incredibly easy to even accidentally cause an invasive animal explosion. Many invasive species stories have been caused by a few stray pets, a single crate of animals, or several of them getting loose from a zoo.

This whole article sounds like it’s really stretching to stitch together a narrative.
I’ve Had It podcast? Keith Edwards is a Democratic influencer and not a former reality show contestant? Qondi Ntini, an Instagram account with less than a thousand followers?

Why vape in the first place?
Maybe this is just me, but I couldn’t get past the first couple of episodes. The idea of a NASA series that isn’t hopeful and full of characters trying to solve science problems to help their fellow man, it’s just goes against the very idea of NASA for me. From the first episode, it’s just a bunch of unprofessional in-fighting from an organization that is famously technical and professional.
Sure, we’ve seen some amount of in-fighting with astronauts vs. doctors or bureaucrats, from movies like Apollo 13 or The Martian. But it was a minority of the plot, and ultimately, even the “bad guys” had the best interest of the organization in mind, just from a less-personal POV.
