Being on my fiance healthcare vs paying private party is saving us 1k a month each. Not to mention dental, vision, and life insurance. She easily gets near 3k a month worth of benefits, although her take home pay isn’t great. My job has no benefits but pays more, she sometimes feels as though she doesn’t pull her weight and I have to remind her how much were NOT spending due to her benefits! If she lost her job I would have to quit mine and scramble to find one that would offer benefits to cover both of us.

I’m in northeast and just drove around from VT to ri yesterday. In mass gas was 3.30 gal, ri was similar +/- 10 cents depending on station. VT seems closer to 3.10 or so. Thank God the warm weather is coming so I can put the damn car away and ride my single cylinder motorcycle that gets 75mpg if I am easy with my right wrist… Also very glad I sold my SUV last year and got a little Impreza cuz that alone has saved me a couple hundred a month during the snow season where I have no choice but to roll in the cage.
Education has no bearing on intelligence, or how “smart” you are. Sure, being more educated CAN make you smarter, but most people can skate by and get a degree while learning next to nothing. Plus I think a lot of higher educated yet ignorant people have the nose-above-ear holier then thou complex and can’t be told anything they don’t agree with or believe in already without throwing a fit. Plenty of educated people are very intelligent, but I think the stupid educated people make a lot of noise and appear as a larger group than they are as well. You know that whole loud minority thing.
