Libertarians hate minorities, Liberals love Nazis? That’s what I gather from the background-colouring anyway. I wonder that the Communists and Monarchists think.

On the internet, nobody knows you’re a dog.

1·8 days agoBiologically female
That’s just redundant. “female” generally already refers to biology. Only silly people use “female” to refer to gender identity.

2·9 days agoif someone asks to be called she/her/susan then just do it.
In my life I’ve only met one person who noted her pronouns, and none (including her) who ever asked for specific pronouns use. That’s shit is such a weird Americanism. You’re weird if you do that.

14·9 days agoStep 1: Get rid of these generational names.
Europe doesn’t have them. The USA only has them because whoever comes up with one gets invited to talk about what defines that generation, and with that a lot of money.
What point is this even trying to make?
How do we stop the Monk from letting those scorpions loose in the village? He is undermining the village, and must be stopped!
That story is ridiculous.
All classic stories are, which makes them great IMO.
Put it below Debian/right of Gentoo.

That does not mean what you think it means.
Also, you’re sexist.

2·18 days agoI don’t understand the “stolen land” idea - The colonists were simply the latest conquerors (and some bough land from the locals, like NYC, so that’s safe to live, I guess?), because certain tribes were hella conquerors.
He can upgrade from
22.05to25.11, I guess?
And to cover complexity, I just let an LLM do most of the work - it knows more about NixLang than me anyway (though I can read it).

3·22 days agothere is literally no possible usecase for Generative AI
Demonstrably false: GenCast, a Diffusion model (and thus GenAI), is freely available here as source code to train it yourself if you so wish. ERA5 data is free to download.
It’s cheaper and more accurate in both result and resolution to run a classic Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) model.
I will fully agree that all the slop that’s being generated is shite and a waste of time though.

1·22 days agoEveryone deserves health care.
Even people who don’t live in your country? Because that’s going to be a strain on your healthcare system.
Yes, yes, it’s a nice ideal, but when the rubber meets the road, shit can hit the fan, which means healthcare for the FIFO, and the rich.
If it’s “everyone in my circle deserves healthcare”, then it’s very realistic. “Everyone in my country” might even work as well. “Everyone in the world deserves healthcare in my country” not so much.

College degrees just ensure we’re specialized.
Or becoming better just ensures you get more work done, and thus more work shoved onto your plate.
I know a guy who was smart enough to go to University, but went to a basic college instead (or rather, a Dutch equivalent). “I don’t want to do all that” is his defence in not going to Uni.
