Europe@feddit.org•Shocking figures: One in five young Germans wants to emigrateEnglish
1·5 days agoThe contention is that people want to leave in part because of high immigration. Germany is not like America. Everyone is entitled to generous social benefits. After many years of high rates of refugee admissions (especially following the Syrian Refugee Crisis), the national budget is becoming very difficult to balance. Taxes continue to rise for everyone, and services are harder to get. Even visiting the doctor can be very difficult now in many cities. Many GPs aren’t taking any new patients. Many young Germans argue that the social contract is broken. The state prioritises the welfare of new arrivals and the elderly, and ignores the needs of the young.
National budget is definitely not bad because billionaires in Germany pay zero taxes on their incomes and inheritance while entire tax burden is taken by value producing working class. /S
The social contract is broken, because workers pay taxes and billionaires and multi millionaires don’t. While govt takes away 35% fruit of my labour even before I see it, multi millionaires and billionaires don’t even generate any fruits, while taking truck loads of fruits away from economy and people who generate fruits. The social contract is broken because of the generational thief of billionaire class.
Other than that, I agree most of what you have to say. The German superiority complex is also a big problem.

Europe@feddit.org•French ship passes Strait of Hormuz in sign Iran may not view France as hostileEnglish
8·5 days agoAnd USA invented, funded, developed Islamic terrorism. Meanwhile Israel is a coloniser that has been genociding and colonising lands since it’s invention in 1900s. Also, the current Islamic regime in Iran is creation of USA and Hamas is creation of Israel to undermine Palestinian statehood.

14·6 days agoIt’s not Iran that started this illegal war. It is Israel and US who attacked Iran. EU countries should have condemned the illegal attack on the first day instead of blaming Iran for defending itself when it targeted US bases in Gulf. By helping US, EU members are just dropping axe on their own feet, when the middle east becomes unstable refugees have very few options to escape.

6·6 days agoAlot of politics in Germany revolves around cult like following instead of critical thinking, hence calling greens as green washing would get one down voted. The fact is Green politicians pushed to shut down nuclear energy. They also cheered for genocide, in fact they are complicit in the genocide. And instead of throwing away Annalena Baerbock, she got promoted to UNGA for supporting a genocide. Same reason why half of the holocaust victims are ignored and the remembrance is only limited specific identities. Roma and Sinti für example had to struggle until recently to get their genocide recognised and the first holocaust in Namibia was not recognised until few years ago. Meanwhile 80 billion Euros were sent to the apartheid state in Middle East to oppress people.

Meritocracy is a lie when almost every who wields wealth or power is a white old man. It’s like they have special quota for white men.
