Those are in no way the same thing. Lemmy having community descriptions that individual mods and admins can lie in is not the same as Piefed having automated “hey everyone, block and ban these users preemptively!” messages or banning everything that’s not on one side of politics.
Again so it hopefully gets through this time - Lemmy, the software, has zero ideological biases or authoritarian behaviour built in. Piefed does. You might be a far more rational and unbiased person than the Lemmy devs, but your software isn’t.



It’s not really lacking anything important though.
Piefed’s features are why its community is how it is - an echo chamber that encourages dogpiling, unfair blocks, and bans.
