When the challenger exploded and the space age ended, so too should have been dispelled the mirage that space travel would mean infinite resources for capitalism to exploit.

At some point the spirit of space travel died inside me. I no longer see humanities future as being among the stars, and I can’t even say that its terribly disappointing to me. I’m still curious and glad that we do things to figure out our world, I think we should fill the sky with telescopes. The narrative of space colonization just doesn’t sell to me. Manifest destiny has always been wicked.

I just wish everything wasn’t upside down. Its very confusing to use the mouse.

I don’t claim to know anything about how the corporate structure of Mcdongos works, but considering this is the first time most people have seen the guy; he isn’t exactly some sort of figure-head for the company. Which makes me think he probably does actually have a real job. That would absolutely require him to know where they “Source” their “Product.”

Being the CEO, he knows exactly the quality of beef McDonalds uses. Would you eat a burger if you knew how many diseased cows were in it and how much antibiotics were used?

Anyone know the artists name? I have seen a few others of theirs that I like.

Yeah I have noticed most professional chefs on youtube seem to have a gas range and one or two plug in induction tops that get very well used.

The nice part of gas stoves is how easy it is to see and hear how much heat a burner is putting out. I don’t know if induction stoves do this too, but the heat cycling on resistant heating stove tops is the most annoying thing about using them.

Sometimes (since i still go on there for porn) Ill switch to all and within the first three posts I see some kind of cringe which just does not exist here and reminds me just how much better this place is, atleast for now.

That’s true but the business model is built around the quick fill up. Incentives will change when people have to spend an hour at their stop. Also a majority of people will not be driving far enough from their house to need it. I think convenience stores will stick around except the ones that operate off highways. Those ones will have to change into what high way rest stops are. It would also be possible just to install chargers at existing rest stops.

Oh god the shit monologues. Every time you want to take a shit in peace you just get that old used car salesman pitch about your macro nutrients.
