By saying “could care less” you imply you still care, but there is room to reduce your level of caring.

An imperial pint is 568ml.
Do they use pints in Europe?

Ah right, I’m not good at maths so thank you.

Then there’s some dodgy measurements going on the side of that can.
Also explains when I’ve been in America and asked for a pint of beer I’ve been given a child’s size glass compared to what I’m used to

TIL that an American pint (500ml) is smaller than a British pint (568ml).

I’m not sure why people are down voting you so much.
This shit doesn’t happen anywhere else. If a train parked and blocked a crossing 3 times a day for half an hour at a time there would be an uproar.
Well I’m assuming there’d be an uproar, impossible to tell because all our tracks are double tracks to allow passing and trains don’t stop for no reason blocking crossings.
We also use bridges a lot.

You’ve already answered your own question.
But don’t forget culture. The USA was founded by the religious extremists we (the UK) booted out hundreds of years ago.
There is a very deep, biblical/puritanical streak running through the psyche of Americans (and to a lesser extent the English speaking world) that demands extreme punishment for wrongdoing. Rehabilitation is a dirty word, it doesn’t matter if someone commits a crime again, the whole point is that if they do they rot in prison.

Ah right. I wanted to check, I thought that stuff was ultra rare? Have they started mass producing it?
I totally agree that plant based stuff isn’t the same (although I like it, matter of taste I guess), but I thought the whole point of lab grown would be that it is identical?

Then what products are you referring to?
£1.40 a litre in the UK at the moment.
I think the difference here is that we aren’t fooled by right wing politicians who blame prices on their left wing counterparts.
Trump made petrol prices and inflation a key policy issue that he alone could fix. And now its worse.
Although the fact that he could be brought down by petrol prices and not him being a demented war-mongering kiddy fiddler is deeply saddening.

I think it depends on what you mean when you say “synthetic meat”.
I use quorn mince when I’m making spaghetti bolognese and lasagne. If you add marmite to the “mince” when you’re doing the initial cook the final dish is indistinguishable from real meat tbh.
I agree that other meat replacements aren’t the same and probably won’t be for a while, although Aldi have recently started selling something that resembles a steak which I want to try.
I recommend a cockapoo or cavapoo.
Ours is 5. She loves to snuggle. She loves to play. She’s particularly good with our 2 year old nephew who was afraid of dogs, she is very gentle and patient with him (obviously we need to sit poised and ready to intervene as he can be a bit clumsy).
They also make amazing proximity alarms. If anyone so much as dares walk by the house she’s up at the window barking her little head off (mainly because she sees a friend she hasn’t met yet).
