No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•I want to write a comic book about a superhero in his 20s who comes from a very wealthy family but my friend says its stupid. Should I give up?
1·24 days agoFirst of all, that sounds harsh coming from a friend. Its OK to be critical, but insulting an idea like that is pretty rude and not constructive at least from what you’ve put here. You should reevaluate your friendship with this friend if that is an accurate portrayal of how they said this.
Second, your story sounds like a normal super hero story which isnt a bad thing. Theres this weird idea that you need to come up with super original concepts to be successful in art but that’s not really true. If you do something that someone’s done before, but different enough, and do it well, people will probably like it.
So yea, write your story man, not because you think people will or won’t read it, but because you want to do it.

But yea, sicko fr

It has helped at least a little for me. It depends though.
I got lots of annoying calls about selling land because they mixed my information with someone else’s I guess. After i signed up, I got less calls like that.
IMO the best thing you can do is be very selective with what info you give out. Use a privacy focused browser, use ublock and privacybadger as well.
Also switching from Verizon to T-Mobile helped with spam. I get way less spam on tmobile at least it feels that way. This is all anecdotal so take it with a grain of salt.
