32·6 days agoFor starters don’t call women females. Yes it’s technically accurate or whatever but that’s beside the point.
Generally avoid complimenting their physique or appearance. Other than that, just be nice to them the way you are with your friends and be platonic by default. “Cool shoes.”
But like, also be genuine about it. If they aren’t cool shoes then don’t say they’re cool shoes. Find something else that’s cool.

I’m probably being overly semantic but perhaps saying “A person with a blue hat and dark skin” would be the least abrasive way of putting it? That said, obsessing over endless semantic refinement and searching for a flawless alternative that does not exist for fear of hypothetical offense will lead to recursive over-correction ad nauseam
