Alexis Hall’s gay romance novel Boyfriend Material is set to get the television treatment after A24 optioned the rights.

On 29 April, Deadline confirmed that production company A24 UK has optioned the TV rights to it.

The 2020 novel follows Luc O’Donnelly, son of two rock stars from the 1980s, and his unlikely romance with barrister Oliver Blackwood. It is the first in the London’s Calling series, with Husband Material following in 2022, and Father Material completing the trilogy this June.
