That’s… actually somewhat correct. The Bible does instruct Christians to:
- follow the laws of the country they’re in, even if it goes against the teachings of the Bible
- not try to change the laws of the country they’re in to closer resemble the rules established in the Bible
Romans 13:1-7 1 Peter 2:13-17 Matthew 22:21 (albeit this probably has the least prominence)
Ah, cool, so we’re at a stalemate. We need to follow the laws, but the laws are indeed being changed to reflect the commandments of the Bible. So we can’t break the laws, but the oligarchs can. Whoopee.
