When it all first started, before the exchanges and before it got very easy to trade, a share was literally just a portion of the company. Directly tied to its value. Then we got all “efficient” and fucked it right up.

It didn’t used to be. When it all first started, before the exchanges and before it got very easy to trade, a share was literally just a portion of the company. Directly tied to its value.
Then we got all “efficient” and fucked it right up.
Shares are still just portions of a company.
