    I watched the movie last year. Very much an anti-capitalist, borderline communist movie. A good watch if somewhat depressing.

    This is one of the classics I have not read. Nor have I seen the movie. I thought I did, once; but that’s because I confused the title with What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. (they both contain “grape” in the title)

      This and East of Eden are two of the ones I always plan to read and never get around to actually reading. I find so many references to them that I know I should.
