I can’t imagine the confusion you have saved yourself to not learn 400 different package managers and all the other qwirky differences beween distro types.
Unfortunately I’m in IT. Including a short stint as a Linux sysadmin for 4 years. I had to learn all the others and often used them. But I had 0 desire to use them outside of work, not even a little.
