It’s been posted tons of times that Grindr shuts down in whatever city they have a convention in, but that makes zero sense. Grindr doesn’t have local servers to deal with local traffic. It would have to mean that they take all of Grindr down and I think we’d be hearing about it a lot more if that was the case.
I have no doubt there’s a very real spike in traffic though.
