The only game systems my parents had were the

    • NES
    • OG Gameboy
    • Gameboy advance SP
    • PS3
    • DS lite

or at least that’s the ones that were kept around long enough for me to get my hands on them. I haven’t seen any old consoles IRL outside of that, or at least not any that I remember 😆

Since they had kids i’ll list the systems I (or shared with my siblings) own

    • dsi
    • Wii
    • 3ds
    • Switch
    • PS5 (I don’t see the appeal tbh)
    • Gaming PC (played nothing but Minecraft for about 2 years)
    • Steamdeck (LCD, OLED)
    • GBA I modded with a LCD screen, but that was like a year ago so I don’t rly count it

Tried a friends switch 2 and it’s pretty cool but the fact my steamdeck has over 100 of my PC games WITH SAVES just makes the entire console seem kinda silly. Also there’s no soul to it which makes it even more unappealing :/

if I were to get a “console” nowadays it would probably be either a steam machine or a PC from secondhand parts in steam big picture

edit: worth mentioning I’m gen Z (2007) and my parents are early millennials
