    Have not watched the movie. But if I’m not mistaken - many of the past traditions and including for the royalty. It was that the grooms family that would traverse through the land to pick up/bring back the bride back to his home. It’s still somewhat practiced if im not mistaken, but not like the caravan style as you seen in those old school films.       She’s sort of a prostitute in the movie (not the same thing due to cultural differences, but those guys are all there for paid sexual relations). That’s what the lyrics are about.
