    1670 on Netflix. Comedy series based in 1670 Poland. It’s hilarious.

    The English dubbing is excellent.

      That is supposed to be good, but I’ve always been a bit cautious of non-english comedies on the basis that jokes to some extent are rooted in wordplay and require understanding the native language tropes (ie: a lot would be lost in subtitles).

        Not an issue for me with this show. Though I’m not a subtitle user. I watch this show in a English dubbing, not subtitles.

          It’s less about the subtitles (or dubbing) but more that the jokes won’t work when translated. Does that make sense?

            You’d be surprised how universal a lot of comedy can be. I watch a lot of international shows and people by and large laugh at similar situations. In cases of language specific wordplay, usually the translator tries to find an English equivalent.
