The reason is that it might not give the right answer next time, or on a different subject. Using AI for medical advice has killed multiple people already.
AI is a “trust but verify” tool. Sometimes it’s really wrong, usually it’s right. Never take what it says at face value (which, as you pointed out, is the same way to treat a stranger on the internet)
