Every call center I’ve worked at was back to back phone calls almost all day not allowed to have a literal minute to breath between calls and they would get mad at me for daring to use the restroom outside of my breaks.
Blame the companies for not hiring enough staff and not wanting to provide proper customer service. the customer service workers hate this even more than the customers do we are the ones who get yelled at all day because the hold times are so long.
I have been on a support desk for over a decade. I have also had to coordinate support between IBM and Cisco more time oh hold listening to Opus 1 and being told my call is important and I can always submit a ticket via email.
