Maybe? The article says he has trouble urinating and has to wear diapers. One of the goals of the surgery is so he can urinate properly and presumably not have wear diapers any longer. So I can sympathize with him. On the other hand, it doesn’t appear that the surgery is strictly medically necessary either.
