The other reply is basically the answer. If you feel a lot of wanting, then seeing other people have what you want can be upsetting. This reaction is more likely in some circumstances, like when you’re relatively young, or you’re depressed, or not comfortable in your life, and other things like that.
IMO the way to improve that is to improve yourself. Focus on yourself, work on becoming the person that you want to be based on where you’re starting from right now.
But it also makes you happy when other people are happy

The word is jealous. And it can be “fixed” but you have to learn to be secure.
