Indeed, depth buffers etc are from the z coordinate.
Also on the web, the “z-index” is the depth of elements in the world of CSS.
I wonder in which contexts y would make more sense as the depth.

Red pill,I guess 🤷♂️

I watched all of Legends, and thought it was pretty good. It had a lot of potential, but sometimes they made it just a teensy bit silly where it didn’t need to be because it was aimed at a younger audience I guess. Like situations which should be filled with dread, anguish, etc, had like cartoony yelps instead. Other than that I’m happy to have watched it. Would still recommend to have under your belt. 👍

When I say kid’s shows, I’m not really talking about The Bad Batch. That show cut deep into me as an adult with my own children. That show is not for kids.
No, I mean more stuff like these template cookie cutter Disney shows, like Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures. Those are utterly not interesting at all, and I don’t consider them canon for my own sanity of not feeling like I need to watch them. 😄
My kids watched some episodes of that show while I was listening in from the side, and it could’ve just as easily been an episode of literally any other kid’s show, like Paw Patrol or something, but with a Star Wars theme to it. Same basic messages as any American kid’s show. And a bit overly tailored towards an American audience as well, specifically. Not really looking to subject my children to that. 🙅♂️

I like everything Star Wars. Except the kid’s shows, of course. Didn’t even watch those. But everything else I’ve seen, almost.
Yeah, you’re definitely fine without, probably. Bluesky and Mastodon type platforms are more if you’re interested in what one particular person has to say, IMO. I have a few people/accounts I’m interested in what they have to say, so that’s the only reason I’m using it. 👍
Nobody exists on purpose.
😳😐🙂↔️ Gonna try to erase that from my memory!
I bet there’s other stuff too but for humourous content and other interests I don’t use microblogging sites, I use Instagram, Lemmy, and YouTube for those. Bluesky, Mastodon, stuff like that is good for posting tech updates, political takes, that sort if thing, IMO.
And yes I’m trying to not use Instagram but these mfs be posting some funny ass meme videos and I need that in this world climate. 😩 Also skateboarding content…
I realized further down in the thread yeah 😄
Oh shit, it’s actually a site? Blusky? I thought y’all were just misspelling Bluesky.
Shit, my bad you guys. 😂
There’s plenty to see on Bluesky. (It’s spelled with an e btw guys.)
Lots of tech people to follow, some progressive famous people that left X to come there, etc.
I imagine it’s still not an “install and forget” kind of situation. At least one fulltime employee will be needed for that thing. 😆
How could they crop out the price!
I guess he fit the data of those two sources pretty well then.
There is a nice paradox here. If he conceded, he would’ve proven himself correct but in the same breath admitted he was not correct, and if he refused to believe those two sources he would’ve claimed himself correct but proven the sources correct. 🔄
