  • My GSD shed this year from February to July. Her coat never got thinner she just kept making and shedding the undercoat for 5 months. My roomba came around the corner and just said “I’m Tired Boss” I started breaking out the dustmop because it was filling a bag every 2 days.

finally in august, she just stopped shedding and hasn’t re-formed her thick coat yet.

might have to get her a calendar for xmas…

It’s tomorrow, but it’s 4:30am tomorrow, So all the calendars show tomorrow, but if you put it out tomorrow, they’ll already have come. Then every time there’s a holiday and you look at the calendar to see if it’s offset, you’ll have to do that math, and you never do that math at a reasonable hour, only at 1:30am when you just showered and laid down in bed.

They kind of lie to us a bit in school when they teach us that to simplify the actual case. Other people have posted the actual curves.

L cones are most responsive to yellow-green, not red.

M cones peak in the green-cyan range.

S cones are most sensitive to violet rather than blue.

The whole RGB and CMYK mixing works observationally for us. But the biology behind it isn’t as neat and as clean as the story they tell us when they’re teaching us about the primary colors.

    Nope, it’s totally real.

Oddly, the one on the right at my 7-Eleven dies as well.

The current state of things, you can get four single board computers cheaper than one single board with four display drivers. They might even be individual touch screens.

  • The problem isn’t actually not being able to invest, it’s not being able to meaningfully invest.

If you have $10, you can throw away. $10 doesn’t mean that much to you. So let’s say you sock it away into a decent stock. Let’s get edgy. Let’s pick something that’s going to double in a year. A year goes by, you have $20. Now you can really afford that carton of eggs.

Investing at poultry levels doesn’t mean anything to you because it’s not enough money to do anything with. You generally need to be socking away 10-30% of your income to get anywhere significant enough to retire.

The argument that you can invest because you can afford to spend $10 is as useless as investing $10.

CiCi’s desert pizza was indeed bangin’, the last one closed near me about 5 years ago. I was happy my kids got to experience them.

I dated a girl who worked at PH. She had me try theirs as a late teen/young adult. I think what got me was the dough was unsweetened. The sauce was ok but the bread was really chewy and not very sweet.
