Honestly, I don’t think that’s the case. I initially upvoted this, but then retracted it and left a comment because I was worried I was platforming bigotry.
Looks like I was probably wrong, given the other replies I’ve gotten.
I’m afraid I don’t have a very concrete reason, just “bad vibes” stemming from its similarity to way too many gross transphobic comics with similar framing.
I guess even if it is innocent, transphobes have ruined this sort of absurdist humor for me.
Why does this feel vaguely transphobic?
I feel like this comic is trying to imply that Robocop (a classic Verhoeven satire) does not have a cerebral element…?
Not sure I would agree with that take.
So, I’m a year late here, but I want to point out what an incredible (unintentional?) pun you made here.
A chord of a circle is a straight-line path that crosses through part of a circle without passing through the center. In a way, it’s like a “shortcut” between to points on the circumference.
A desire path through a circular obstacle (assuming it doesn’t go straight through the middle) would be a chord.

I advocate for rapid, unscheduled disassembly.
Excite!
I think this is my favorite current sci-fi show. It’s not as high-concept as, say, Severance, but the cast is amazing and the plot is nice and twisty.
