Who wears a smoking in a theme park in the first place?
That’s crazy. Why should you ban smoking from a childrens fun park?
How are the kids going to have any fun without smoking??
My 3 year old just said he will pick up drinking if they continue to ban smoking everywhere.
…designated smoking areas will be set up in the park from the start of the season…
Smoking just can’t be done everywhere in the park.
It also appears that the restrictions don’t apply to smokeless tobacco. I understand that snus is popular in Sweden.
EDIT:
From the start of the season, smoking areas will be available at the following locations:
-
Main entrance
-
Themed area Germany
-
Themed area France
-
Themed area Croatia
-
Themed area Liechtenstein
-
Themed area England
-
Themed area Austria
-
Themed area Portugal
They apparently have twenty themed areas, for perspective.

Pretty bold of you tho call children stuff “children stuff” in 2026
Because it’s not exclusively a children’s fun park. Plenty of stuff to do for adults there.
But obviously it is a good idea to restrict smoking to secluded areas, for children and everybody else around. Honestly, I was a bit confused last year, that it wasn’t the case already. It pretty much is in any other theme park.
New regulations from 2026 – smoking will only be permitted in designated smoking areas.
Frankly that seems to me like a pretty reasonable regulation. It’s not nearly as extreme as the post’s title would suggest.
Yes. I think that is well done by Baden-Württemberg “Following an amendment to the Smoke-Free Environment Law in Baden-Württemberg”. Completely reasonable for everyone. That this even needs a regulation.
The reason why I remark on it being reasonable, is because over here in the Netherlands we have been seeing increasingly more places that just outright ban smoking on the entire premises. They specifically choose not to have designated smoking spaces.
In practice this does not work at all, because smoking is an addiction and you can’t expect smokers not to smoke for hours upon end. So in practice they smoke outside anyway, and you are worse off than you would have been in a situation with designated smoking spots.
Oh no, how will i smoke meth there?
how will the parents be capable of coping with their kids without smoking? also joints seem to be excluded from the list
The children and parents are of course expected to vape
The regulation applies to cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, e-shishas, tobacco heaters, water pipes and similar vaping products.
